Dear potential participants of DEFEST EXPO 2024,
Since November 15, 2023, when the project was officially launched, more than 40 participants have registered, and more than 70% of the space has been booked. According to our forecasts, by January-February 2024, we expect to attract all planned participants to the event, with their number exceeding 200 companies.
The main goal of DEFEST EXPO 2024 is to bring together organizations and companies in the field of defense and security to demonstrate unity and strength in society. The cooperation of all participants will help ensure coordination and preparedness in the event of military conflicts or terrorist threats.
Such a significant event in Estonia could attract large investments into the defense industry. I have personally held substantive negotiations with some global companies regarding establishing cooperation with Estonia in this vein. The interest in DEFEST EXPO 2024 has been enormous.
Since January 2024, some Estonian officials from departments related to defense and security, among others, have begun to work to sabotage the event. Some of their activities are described in this article. In this regard, the event was postponed to November 28-30, 2024.
However, even after the rescheduling, the sabotage has continued quietly and unnoticed. Some participants, for example, in Finland and Ukraine, were advised by officials from Estonia not to take part in the event.
The Estonian media, especially DELFI and Äripäev, were involved in this sabotage plan. Their actions to discredit me based on an unjust case from 14 years ago played a key role and contributed to spreading mistrust. Moreover, this pretext was built on the incompetence of the officials themselves associated with this process. They are apparently confident that the truth about the situation will never be revealed. After all, some people in Brussels are also involved in this, who ended up there after a fabricated case against me.
Additionally, as one high-ranking official put it, “Some citizen of Ukraine is involved in OUR defense and security.” This statement raises serious questions.
Sabotage continues today, with attacks being made on financial issues. I personally invested more than 130,000 euros in organizing the event, but due to the discrediting efforts, some participants demanded a refund, which led to additional unplanned expenses. Not a single cent was taken from the government.
All my further efforts did not lead to positive results, and I am forced to stop registering participants for the event. First of all, I will make every effort to return funds to participants. This will be difficult, especially if the company’s accounts are blocked.
I am disappointed by the opposition and sabotage, and the lack of support for the good causes of ordinary people who can also create something meaningful for their community. We planned to train people on how to act in emergency situations at the event, potentially saving more than one life in difficult situations. Few people know how to act in such situations.
We also highlighted the official activities of police officers, firefighters, and military doctors on social networks, which many officials did not like, forcing us to delete this information. It was very painful to face such accusations, and it remains incomprehensible. We thanked services and departments for their support and understanding, but this was interpreted as sponsorship. Why would we do this if there were no official logos of government departments on the event website? An absurd accusation.
All actions of officials, which began actively in January 2024 and continue to this day, were planned and purposefully executed. I also know who carried out the orders and from whom they came, and all evidence will be presented if necessary.
In connection with these events, questions arise:
1. Does the organization of an event of this scale and significance belong only to government officials? Initially, the organization received preliminary approval from a high-ranking official.
2. What is more important for people now: the unfounded intrigues of officials or the lives of civilians?
3. How much public funds will be spent on organizing a similar event in the near future? This is what it’s all about.
4. Who was and is engaged in sabotage, and whose side are they on? Are they on the side of our own people, or on the side of those who interfere with the demonstration of unity and practical exercises?
In conclusion, I would like to express special gratitude to the International Defence Analysis (IDA) team for their tenacity, professionalism, and teamwork.
You can rely on them and trust them in the most difficult moments.
I am also grateful to the participants from different countries around the world, including Lithuania, Denmark, the USA, Germany, Spain, Pakistan, and Ukraine, who supported the event and delved into the situation despite all the difficulties.
I thank all ordinary citizens for their words of support and apologize for the negative attitude of Estonian officials. I hope that the goal of the event – a demonstration of unity and assistance in the field of defense and security – will not be lost and will begin to bear fruit.
If a partner, investor, or sponsor for the event appears within the next few days, whose moral principles are higher than the petty intrigues of short-sighted politicians and officials, the organization will continue.
God knows that every effort and opportunity was made to ensure that the DEFEST EXPO 2024 event took place.
Sincerely,
Developer of the DEFEST EXPO project,
Dmytro Dolgii
